description

Ship Happens is a clumsy, physics-driven 2–4 player co-op party game about penguins shipping cargo across a very angry ocean. It's built on a dynamic wave simulation and strict buoyancy physics: there is no steering wheel, the ship is propelled and turned entirely by player-held oars on the port and starboard sides, forcing constant coordination. Cargo slides freely across the deck, and large crates fully obscure the carrier's vision, turning every delivery into a noisy communication puzzle. Players will earn money by completing risky deliveries across tropical, glacial, and volcanic regions, defending against sharks and crocodiles along the way, while upgrading their ship to take on harder routes. Row in sync, balance the deck, fight off wildlife, and try not to capsize your friendship.

features

  • directional co-op rowing with no traditional steering
  • vision-obscuring large cargo that forces verbal teamwork
  • real-time buoyancy and wave physics that affect every object on deck
  • asymmetric enemies (sharks vs hull, crocodiles vs crew)
  • dynamic risk/reward economy with diminishing returns
  • stylized low-poly art direction
